*The Burdine Johnson welcomes funding inquiries from all organizations seeking funding in 2026, with special interest in organizations serving Hays County, Texas. To be considered for any 2026 funding, please submit by the March 31st deadline.*

To apply, please submit a Funding Request Overview of 1-2 pages (up to 3 pages max). This is not intended to be a formal or burdensome grant application. Think of it as a clear, well-organized introduction to your work and request.

Please note: Grant decisions and fund disbursement may not occur until late 2026. If your request involves time-sensitive or urgent funding needs, please indicate this clearly in your submission.

If we need additional information after reviewing your submission, we will reach out to you directly.

What to Include

Please organize your document use these section headings:

1. Funding Request Overview

- Legal name of organization

- Mailing address

- Primary contact (name, title, phone, email)

- Total dollar amount requested

- Type of support requested (program, capital, general operating, or other)

- When the funds are needed and/or the time period in which they will be used

- Describe whether and how your organization serves Hays County. Please indicate whether the requested funds will be used exclusively in Hays County or as part of a broader regional effort that includes and benefits Hays County.

2. Mission

- Brief description of your mission

3. What you Do

- Brief summary of your programs and services

- Specific purpose of funds requested. Budget of how funds will be allocated.

4. Impact & Goals

- Outcomes you are working toward

- How you measure success (formal or informal)

5. Financial Sustainability

- Funding sources, including confirmed and anticipated donors

6. Challenges & Support Beyond Funding

- Briefly describe any major challenges your organization is facing.

- In addition to funding, are there other kinds of support that would be helpful?
